One whole piece of the pie!

I just wanted to do my bimonthly update on my missionary man. Today marks his SIXTH MONTH!!!! Woot woot. One quarter down... only three to go :) I am doing just dandy, I think things are becoming easier just like people said they would. It still isn't easy, but I am keeping busy and I'm easily distracted (I never thought that would be a good thing until now ;). As for him, he is just working harder than ever. This last weekend he had a baptism which was super exciting. The poor kid had some sort of crazy sore fungusy disease growing wildly all over his body, hopefully he overcomes it soon! But of course it didn't slow him down one bit. He and his companion Elder Tingy (sp??) are working hard to increase the numbers and establish and advance the home teaching program in Waynesville; so far it seems to be going well. He claims to witness miracles on a weekly basis (what a wonderful blessing!!) I love missionaries and all they do. Without their hard work my family wouldn't be where they are today.

I love this gospel so very much. I hope that if people remember nothing else about me, that at least they will remember I have a testimony. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's true church, with all my heart. I know the power of the priesthood is real. I know the power of prayer is real. I know families can be together forever. I know the temple is the house of the Lord. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know he restored the church on the earth, and that he translated the Book of Mormon. I know it with every fiber of my being. I know Christ lived, and that He died for us. I know He lives now. I know he atoned for the sins of the world, and that through Him we can find eternal joy. I know if we follow His teachings, we will find happiness. I know missionaries are called of God and that they do a wonderful work. I want Elder Holladay to know I love and support him in all he does. Keep working hard!! Press forward always.

Amazing Talk

Today I was at Deseret Book and I found this talk on CD on sale. I am a sucker for talks on CD (especially anything by John Bytheway! Just ask Perla. It's a bit of an obsession to be honest :) so I bought it. It is so good! It talks about modesty and self confidence. It gives young women some good perspective on being young and going through their awkward years. It is a great talk, I would suggest it to anyone!

To Infinity and Beyond

I just have been thinking alot about the love of my life today and wanted to give him a shout out. He is close to six months, and I only miss him more and more every day. He is such a strength to me in so many ways. He is so far away and yet I feel so close to him. He is constantly pushing me to be a better person. He pushes me to be stronger than I thought possible. He challenges me with tasks I feel too weak to acheive and yet I always seem to find the strength. He knows me better than I know myself. He is an amazing man, and my best friend. He is so strong and driven. His dedication to his mission is so amazing to me. I love him like crazy! Skip, you are amazing! Keep up your strength. Always press forward and know I support you! Ps. I love you.

BABIES!

I know I report on it way too often but man do I love these little girls! They kill me with joy. They are both so silly and fun! They are growing up way too fast for my taste. I love you girls!!!

The tip of the sword...

Every year for work we have a thing called a Fire Readiness Review. It is pretty stressful and crazy because we not only have to have the engines and everything in tip top shape, but we also have to know EVERYTHING we possibly can about fighting fire. All the forest authorities come and ask all kinds of questions and have us do a walk over of our truck. It is just not a fun time! So, once we finished it this season, we decided to have a fun camp out with all the engines! We camped over night near Forest Lakes. Enrique cooked us some AMAZING food. We just ate, played guitar, played pine cone baseball, and relaxed. It was a blast!

The second day we did all kinds of stations where we learned more about line digging, pumping water, sharpening tools, and deploying fire shelters. I learned so much and had so much fun! I love all the men and ladies from Black Mesa Ranger District. Sometimes I love it so much I forget it's my job!

The Hardy Har Hut!

Kelly is my best friend!!! Freshman year we had some good times :) Times I wouldn't trade for the world!!

I just wanted to give a shout out to my best friend Kelly and her new hubby Spencer! They were married last month, it was a beautiful occasion. Kelly and I have been through sooooo much. We went on random road trips, went through Nsync relapses, rode the Big Shot... We did it all! I have missed her being in my every day life since she left NAU, but that didn't hold us back. I may not have seen her every day but I still feel like she is one I could go to for anything at any time. She has always been there and I couldn't have asked to meet a better girl that night at institute. One silly get to know you game started a life long friendship that I am forever grateful for. Kelly, I love the woman you are and will become. You have always been an example to me, and a strength. Thank you for always being there for anything I needed. Never stop loving the Jobros! Know I am here no matter what! And Spence, welcome to our life! Haha I can't wait to go on couple dates and be married friends...someday :) Haha. Oh Kel, how I LOVE YOU! Girlfriend, you are the best!!! I love you both!!

Sean and Lori are married!

A few weeks ago Sean and Lori were married in the Snowflake temple! Sean is Skippy's brother. We went on a few doube dates with them before Skip left and they were always so much fun to be around. Both of them are wonderful people, I am so happy for them! Congratulations you two, I hope you have a wonderful life of love together! Bow chica! :) The two extra pictures at the bottom are of me with Tim and Cara's kids, Konnor and Kaitlyn at the wedding. They are the cutest kids ever! (Along with Colby, Bentley and Makenna, I just didn't get the chance to take a picture with them :)
